Emarat Launches Public Service Campaign
Highlights road safety and features on-line competition coincides with launch of Emarat website

In line with its commitment to contribute to the UAE community, Emarat has launched a public service campaign to spotlight an extremely vital issue - safe driving. The start of the campaign coincides with the launch of the Corporation\'s website -www.emarat.co.ae- that goes on line today (20 May).

Besides a print media campaign, Emarat has taken the public service programme a step further - incorporating it as an online game-competition on its website to test visitors\' road safety and driving knowledge, and offering them the chance of winning 10 Nokia 6210 mobile phones.

\"Road safety is a primary concern today,\" said Hussain Kazim, Public Relations and Advertising Manager, Emarat. \"We are keen on addressing this issue, but rather than just portray a message, we decided to add an element of fun by including a game-competition on the Emarat website. This means that not only do participants test their road safety knowledge, but also enjoy an interactive game that gives them the opportunity to win prizes.\"

The online competition will run from 20th May through 5th June. Participants have to answer at least 10 out of 12 questions correctly to qualify. All correct entires will go into a computerised draw and winners informed by email or SMS.


The Emarat website provides a wealth of knowledge to visitors - from comprehensive corporate information to information on the latest offers and promotions. Visitors can also receive regular updates through the \"Open Library\" or take a look at the Corporation\'s ad campaigns and television commercials. Young graduates can check out career opportunities while interested parties can sign up for membership to the Safeer Card - tailored especially for commercial fleet owners by Emarat.

\"A lot of planning and thought has been invested in the design and content of the website to make it user-friendly and informative,\" said Mr. Kazim. \"This is the first stage of the development process of the Emarat website, and we are already progressing it to a more interactive level.\"
